Cabaret Kings as Queens: König

König is a drag series of events and workshops for trans, non binary, queers and women. In October 2024, König produced events at Ufa Fabrik in Mariendorf in which I was invited to participate.

Since I traditionally do something I would properly call gender non conforming drag, könig invited me to explore drag queen performance. It was so much fun to pay homage to the great Tina Turner and also reference Lola Rose's incredible drag performance at Mx Kotti 2017

I felt it was important to make sure I had some of the Berlin queens who inspire the hell out of me in my performance! Naturally I asked Martini Cherry Furter and Lola Rose (@georgenroses on IG) who both said yes!

We all had not danced this hard in high heels in a minute! And I was wearing my Christian Louboutin's which are about two sizes too small for me!

The Incredible, Edible, Akynos lent me her amazing Bob Mackie inspired leotard, a designer that frequently dressed Tina Turner.

I felt so beautiful this night and had to give all the love and appreciation to the femmes who do this every day!
